Thank you so much for supporting our 2026 DC group. Special thanks to the KCSO officers and South Fork staff who attended. Kids had a steady non-stop line of cars for the entire 2 hours.

ALL volunteers, including anyone on the course, MUST check into the office and have their ID ran through the Raptor system. We want our students as SAFE as possible, and this is one of the layers involved in keeping them safe. Volunteer check in is at 8:15 If your students turned in $50 after the t-shirt order was placed, they WILL still get a Color Run shirt - it will just be after Spring Break See you tomorrow!!!!

At 8:15 AM today, South Fork Middle School was placed on a soft lockdown out of an abundance of caution due to nearby law enforcement activity. We took this step to ensure the safety of our students and staff. Once we received confirmation that the subject was in custody and no longer near our campus, we resumed normal classroom activities. Thank you for your understanding and support as we prioritize the well-being of our school community.

The Kern River Valley Track program is a collaborative effort led by Mrs. Anzaldo (South Fork) and Mr. Bogart & Mrs. Hacker (Wallace), beginning last track season. This year, their dedication has allowed students to compete in the Junior Olympics in Ridgecrest, as well as an additional meet at Del Oro in Bakersfield. Some of these athletes have even earned the opportunity to advance to another track meet next week. This program has provided an incredible experience for our students—not only in developing their individual skills in track but also in learning the values of teamwork and sportsmanship. They are creating lasting memories, building strong connections within the community, and forming friendships with athletes from other schools. Many participants had the chance to reconnect with friends they had met at previous events while also making new ones. Today was a fantastic day for confidence building! It’s inspiring to see our students thriving, growing, and most importantly, having fun along the way.
