SOUTH FORK SCHOOL SUPPLY LIST 2018-2019

Parents/Guardian,

Below you will find a list of supplies that your child/children will need for the 2018/2019 school year. Your child may be asked to bring in additional supplies during the school year.

1st grade (Please put your students name on item)
  • 1 box of 16 or 24 crayons (nothing larger)
  • 2-3 Glue sticks
  • 2-4 pencils (#2)
  • Backpack
  • School box (plastic is the most durable) OR a medium to large pencil bag
  • Kids Scissors
  • 1 "marbled" composition book, WIDE RULED, 100 pages

Community Items for sharing (optional)

  • Kleenex
  • Additional glue sticks
  • Hand sanitizer
  • small or large ziploc bags
  • Markers
  • Colored Pencils
  • Teacher will provide basic homework folder, if they wish to have their own please provide it on the first day.
2nd Grade
  • Glue sticks *

  • Pencil sharpener
  • Set of washable markers*
  • Yellow highlighter*

*Your child may need new ones each quarter.

2nd/3rd Grade
  • Backpack
  • 1 box of crayons (no more than 48)
  • 1 pencil box
  • 2 boxes of sharpened Ticonderoga Pencils
  • 1 pair of children's scissors (put name on it)
  • Glue sticks (put name on it)
  • 2 highlighter markers (put name on it)
  • Individual tape roll in plastic dispenser (optional)
  • Fine tip pen (sharpie)
  • 3 Black dry erase markers (put name on them)
  • 2 pink pearl erasers

3rd Grade
  • 1 box of crayons (no more than 48)
  • 1 box of Ticonderoga Pencils
  • 1 pack of 6-8 glue sticks
  • 1 pack of black dry erase markers
  • 1 pack college-ruled lined paper
  • 2 pink pearl erasers
  • 1 hand pencil sharpener with a case to hold shavings
  • Backpack
  • Pencil Bag (no boxes)

In January, please resupply the above items. Teacher will provide scissors, markers, colored pencils, highlighters and Elmer's glue.

4th/5th Grade School Supply List:

  • Backpack
  • Pencil Box
  • 1 box 12-24 count colored pencils
  • 1 composition notebook
  • 1 homework folder
  • #2 Pencils (Ticonderoga are the best)
  • Erasers (pink pearl and pencil top)
  • 2 highlighters
  • 1 pair of scissors (not kid-sized)
  • 4-6 glue sticks
  • White board markers (for desk work)
  • Post-it notes
  • Colored pens for correcting

Middle School 6th-8th Grade:

  • Three 1-inch 3 ring binders (Math, Science, Language Arts)
  • 2 dozen pencils (wooden or mechanical). Please provide refills for mechanical pencils; we do not have this available for your child.
  • Ink pens (blue or black AND red)
  • Highlighters (at least two colors)
  • 1 box of colored pencils—preferably erasable.
  • 1 package of colored markers (optional).
  • 2 Sharpies (permanent black pen)
  • 4 White board markers
  • 1 Pencil Bag or box to hold supplies
  • 1 pair of scissors (medium sized)
  • Individual erasers, large
  • 2 reams three-hole punched college ruled paper
  • 1 package of graph paper: ΒΌ Inch Square
  • Backpack
  • Binder with dividers or homework folder
  • Ruler (inch & cm)
  • Dictionary for home, if you do not have internet access.
  • Hand pencil sharpener- with case for shavings
  • Glue sticks
  • CALCULATOR FOR HOME: 6/7th grade uses TI-108 (Texas Instruments $9 on Amazon) and 8th grade uses Sharp EL-XBGR ($9 on Amazon).
  • Facial Tissue
  • Non-Marking Shoes for P.E.
  • Swim attire and towel for P.E.

Community items: These are items that teachers often pay for themselves but are a help to the classroom. Donations appreciated!
